It’s been 18 months, and I’m still here 😊

Two Weddings In 5 Months! Last year was really busy, and it took everything I had to just be present mentally and physically for my kids.

It’s been 18 months, and I’m still here!

For those of you who have been asking, I’m still alive and doing well 😉

I’ve had many people in recent months (weeks, days) ask how I’m doing because it’s been so long since my last post. I recently reviewed that last post…I sort of left it at a point where I wasn’t doing well…I’m sorry ☹ Let me catch you up!

Drugs & Side Effects
Last year after having a terrible time with my meds, I made the decision to stop taking the Avastin because it was still causing horrible side effects.

Yay to having a great doctor who listens to you and understands! When I sat and talked with him and told him I couldn’t keep going with these side effects, he told me it was ok to stop taking it. The bleeding gums, mouth sores and high blood pressure stopped almost immediately! Though my gums are still sensitive and healing.

I’m still taking Lynparza daily, but in November 2024 my doctor and I decided to cut my dose in half as I was having really bad dizziness, tension headaches, involuntarily dropping things, extreme tiredness, nausea 24/7…it wasn’t fun.

Cutting this does in ½ has made it much more tolerable, as long as I stay on the anti-nausea meds.

Overall, somedays are better than others. If you ask my how I’m doing, I’ll tell you I’m well…even if my body hasn’t fully caught up with where my mind is.

Two Weddings In 5 Months!
Last year was really busy, and I think this is the major reason I didn’t post in 2024. It took everything I had to just be present mentally and physically for my kids.

My son, Micah, married the love of his life, Bella! She is the best daughter-in-law ever! She fits so well with our family, and I love her to pieces 😊

Did I mention that she lived with us during my chemo treatments and helped care for me? Seriously, she is a rock star!

5 Months later my daughter, Julia, married the love of her life, Matthew. He is the best son-in-law ever! Having him as a part of our family is such a blessing, and I love the way that he cares for and loves my daughter. He is truly an amazing man of God.

I feel so thankful and am so blessed to still be here and experience these milestones with my kids.

Today Is My Birthday!
I’m celebrating 48 years today, and I thought it would be fitting to let everyone know that I’m still alive 😉

My husband and I are dreaming together for the future, and I’m looking forward to whatever comes next…as long as it doesn’t involve cancer (seriously, I don’t want to do this again).

Thank you again to all who check up on me, love me, and pray for me. I really appreciate you all!
